Salve a tutti

Come tutti sapete per installare compiz bisogna passare al desktop xgl invece di xorg.

E qui ci siamo Laughing

Il problema è che quando faccio il cambio da

yast > sistema > /etc/sysconfig > desktop > display manager > XServer

passando da xorg a xgl, riavviando mi si rallenta l'xserver e mi rimane l'immagine del desktop statica (non si refresha)...

Si refresha soltanto se faccio rotare il cubo o comunque riesco a far fare qualcosa a compiz che mi metta in moto la grafica...

Non so se mi sono ben spiegato...

La mia scheda video è una mobility radeon x1200 con 3d attivato.

Ah m'è venuta in mente una cosa...

Io ho un processore a 64 bit e la mia versione di suse è x86...

credo non c'entri nulla, ma il parere agli esperti Big Grin

ho installato i driver ati del repository della comunità ati con i pacchetti

x11-video-fglrxG01
ati-fglrxG01-kmp-default

e poi naturalmente ho controllato che il 3d fosse attivato con

# sax2 -r

ecco lo xorg che ho attualmente... ho appena formattato, quindi sarà la versione base...

però non mi fa funzionare la modalità grafica xgl comunque...

vado a memoria, visto che non sono a casa mia per verificare, ma lo xorg mi sembra ok..

come avvi compiz? con la Fusion-Icon?? questo problema ti accade sempre quando lanci compiz, oppure dopo determinate operazioni?? che decoratore usi??

questo problema non si presenta necessariamente a causa di compiz...

si presenta solamente quando passo da desktop Xorg a Xgl...

se qualche vero smanettone ha voglia di scervellarsi per questo problema, sarò ben felice di darvi il mio indirizzo di aMSN Big Grin

faccio un up dicendo che credo che siano i driver ati ancora poco compatibili con questa versione 10.3 e con la mia scheda express x1200
