Ho acquistato un nuovo hd da affiancare al vecchio (mica tanto... Laughing ), solo che in My computer non mosta le partizioni nuove che ho creato! come posso farle "apparire" nella gestione dei dispositivi?

Come hai partizionato il tuo hd? Che tipo di file-system hai usato?
Comunque, devi modificare il file /etc/fstab.
Prova a postare l'output di dmesg ed il contenuto del tuo file /etc/fstab

questo e la mia fstab... per le part. Windows ho risolto copiando il settaggio delle vecchie partizioni (c d e f)... ma ho altre due partizioni Linux una ext2 e l'altra ReisenFS che parameti devo dare a FStab per montare automaticamente all'avvio e avere i permessi di scrittura? ed evitare di inserire le opzioni users e noauto? ovviamente anche loro dovrebbero apparire tra i dispositivi...
inoltre vorrei capire:
umask sta per... ?
gid=users che è?
dovrei,credo, modificare iocharset=utf8 per evitare che le lettere accentate si trasformino in due "simpatici" quadratini, ma... che metto?
